Ultrasound??

It seems like a LOT of women on here get early ultrasounds (8 weeks, 12 weeks...), but every OBGYN that I’ve looked into in my area only gives ONE (at 20 weeks) unless there’s a problem. 
What’s common in your neck of the woods?

Normal for me is dating US at 8 weeks, anatomy US at 20 weeks, position and growth check US at 36 weeks.

I didn't have my first one until 18 weeks.

I'm in California and I'm not sure if this is typical but my OBGYN gives you the first one between 8-12 weeks, then you can get the Autonomy scan at 18-20 weeks and then the last one is usually 36 weeks to guess birth weight and make sure all is good. You can get an extra one if you do the NIPT test but that's a genetic ultrasound called NT and only some insurances cover it

At my doctor they do a dating scan between 8 and 10 weeks, an optional NT scan at 12 weeks, and an anatomy scan between 18 and 20 weeks. They'll do another if I go over my due date or there's something they're concerned about.

With my first that was what happened. I got one at 20w by them. I did one at 18w to find out the gender before my husband deployed. This time around I had 7 by the time I reached 20w because of complications and neglect the first time (doctor wanted to monitor the baby’s growth closely)

In my area the OBGYN won’t even see you until you hit the second trimester mark. Not even to confirm pregnancy through a blood test unless you have other health issues. My sister in law and I are due 2-3 weeks apart, me being due first, and because I have a heart condition I’m considered high risk. I’m 11 weeks and have already had 2 appointments, a cervical check, and 2 ultrasounds. (All fantastic results) I have another appointment July 9th. And the same doctor still hasn’t seen my sister in law even once and he won’t until the second week of July. Every pregnancy is different.

Mine does 3. Dating scan at 8, growth at 12 and anatomy at 20. No more after that unless there's a complication.

Common for me in fresno ca, I always get an ultrasound at 5-6 weeks for first measurement and placement and every appointment after.

Unless you have other problems normally where I and (Ohio) you get your dating scan around 10 weeks and then the anatomy scan around 18 weeks and maybe one last ultrasound at 34 weeks. That normally about it.
