Can an 18 year old be a co-signer for student loans?

I have to take out private student loans & I have no one who can co-sign for me besides my boyfriend. He’s currently in the military but he’ll be attending the same university as me in the Spring semester. I’m not sure if there’s an age requirement or something..

18 year olds won’t have enough credit. 6 months is bare minimum for credit, but honestly for large sums of money, they are going to want to see a longer history. Also need to consider income amount to loan amount, etc. in very rare cases could this work.
