Am I the only one who forgot how contractions feel?

I think I’m having contractions? Woke up this morning and as I’m teleworking I have started to get like really bad period cramps?  Lower stomach and back. 
I thought it was me needing to do number two but my back is aching even after that. It stopped now but is that how it’s supposed to feel? 
Stupid question I know but I had my daughter 7 years ago at 16 so everything is a blur!

I forget too. With my first i was induced at 38+5 and never had braxton hicks and now almost 5 years later i really have no idea what to look for and just remember the bad contractions feeling like i had to take an awful poop.

I forgot too, and I just did this last June!! I woke up with the WORST lower back pain that wouldn’t go away. I couldn’t fall back to sleep until I laid in a different position. All I remember is that they felt like very strong period cramps that started at the top of my stomach all the way down to my back

Same! My last was 11 years ago and with this one I've been having damn b/h since 20ish weeks so its got me all confused! From what I remember tho it felt like tightening in my uterus that got more stronger and painful... i think.. 🤣

Yes there like period cramps but a bit more intense and around your vagina area. Mine happen like 6 to 10 times a day now and it always grows more intense. Just know though if your feelimg strong pains call your Dr. Amd let them tell you what to do.

All I remember is both times I had contractions they wrapped around back to belly slowly for 1 minute then released.

I had my first two years ago and I’m still not sure what contractions feel like! 😅 I was induced with him and had an epidural when the nurses recommended it, but my pain never progressed beyond mild/moderate period cramp feelings. They told me then that those were contractions but they were so mild compared to what I imagined that I still feel unsure haha.
I’ve been getting some mild period cramp feelings the past week off and on and told them about it at my doctor’s appointment on Tuesday. But I made sure to tell them I wasn’t sure if it was contractions and then would describe the feeling. They treated it like they were contractions so I’m assuming they are. 🤷🏻‍♀️
