Confusing parents šŸ¤”

Courtney

My parents are giving me mixed signals about how they feel when it comes to me having kids. I haven’t told them me and the hubby are TTC, because I don’t know how they would react. Sometimes, they’ll say things like ā€œyou haven’t been together long enough for kidsā€ (nearly 4 years????? not enough????) or ā€œwhen are you going to get on birth control, Courtneyā€ šŸ™„ but other times it’s, ā€œI’m saving this for when you finally have kidsā€ and ā€œI can’t wait to be a grandma!ā€ and continually pointing out babies and baby stuff to me when we’re together.

She claims I’m not responsible enough because there’s been a few times in the last couple years they had to help me out with rent or other payments. It didn’t bother me at first because I know I’m ready, but now that we’re seriously trying for a baby, it’s really starting to bother me.

Any else dealt with this before? šŸ˜”
