I had to hear this from a friend, and it is not always well known. If you contact your health insurance provider it is possible that they will help cover the cost for a breast pump, as long as your doctor writes a prescription.
Simply talk to your insurance company to see what they would help cover, once you know you can talk to your doctor about writing a prescription. Spread the word!
