Successful induction story!
aby girl was due June 16th. At all our appts she would be at a -3 or -2 and I would be dilated to a one. We scheduled our induction for 5AM Monday June 24th. I was so nervous since we haven’t been progressing I just knew we would end up with a c section. We got the pitocin going about 5:45 and we were off. I was still only dilated to a 2 About 10am my contractions were getting unbearable so I asked for some IV pain meds. They gave me something that started with an S that made me drowsy and took the edge off. That lasted about 1.5 hours. After those pain meds I was dilated to a 4 and needed my epidural. Epidural went great and once it kicked in I was able to relax. I’m 2 hours I went from a 4 to a 7. By 4:35 I was ready to start pushing and by 5:13 Dillon Elizabeth came screaming into this world. Being my first baby im pretty happy with a 12 hour induction start to finish!
