Hey ladies, what’s the scoop on Nexplanon?

Question

Looking into starting birth control (finally!!) and Nexplanon was recommended by a friend. She hasn’t been on it long, so if anyone who is or has been on it wants to drop some info, please do!
I’m interested in your thoughts on 
-the implantation
-any side effects you’ve experienced
-whether or not you’ve stopped (and why if it’s not personal) 
-whether or not you plan to repeat 
- if anyone has experienced it not working 😬 
-and of course, if you’d recommend!

I had mine for 2 years and I personally didn’t like it. The first month I bled non stop. Then didn’t have my period for almost a year, and then bled for 6 months nonstop. A lot of people don’t get their period but my friends and I all had this annoying long period!! It also really effected my appetite and I lost about 15 pounds which was not healthy for me! I would maybe try the pill if your just starting out. As long as you take it responsibly it works really well

I’ve had it in the past & was awesome but this time around 😩I’m literally loosing my mind on it actually going today to get it removed I have not stopped bleeding for a month and I have the worst mood swings ... idk if my body just changed that much in 4 years or if it’s not what it use to be but like my dr said their is only one way to know if your body is going to like it and it’s putting yourself through it I would recommend it just for the fact of it being so convenient and not having to worry to take pills but I wouldn’t get it again 🤷🏼‍♀️but I hope it works for you
