C Section or vaginal delivery?

Our Dr was talking to us about possible options for twin delivery  and said vaginal delivery is possible with twins is the presenting twin in head down towards the end. My worst fear is that one would be delivered vaginally and the other one would require an emergency c section. Have any moms done a vaginal delivery successfully with one or both of their twins? We are able to elect a c section but not sure that I want that. Thanks.

I vaginally delivered my twins. I was told as long as baby a was bigger and head down.  He was. They recommend an epidural Incase he had to put his arm in and get baby b. That didn’t happen. Baby a came then baby b got into position and followed right after. They didn’t even have time to do an ultrasound to check his position. They r 5 mins apart.

Following! I'm 34 weeks and twin A is bigger and head down, twin B is breech. I had an unmediated birth with my first and it was such an amazing experience. I want that so badly for the twin birth but there are so many factors I feel like my head is spinning. I can't stop thinking about it!

My personal opinion if baby B is breech I would not attempt a vaginal delivery just because A is head down. I would only do it if B is transverse or head down. That being said I would highly recommend vaginal delivery over c section any day. The recovery is so much easier on your body and twins are no joke. If you’re anything like several of us...we had no help once we went home because our husband had to work and no family/friends that could help so I can only imagine what a c section would be like trying to handle twins by myself and healing. I delivered di/di twins vaginally at 35+6.

I had the option of doing vaginal if baby B was breech and I said no way. Ultimately, she stayed transverse the whole time and moved head down when baby A was out. I delivered them both vaginally and in hindsight I’m happy I attempted. Even if it wouldn’t have worked out, I gave myself the possibility of a vaginal birth and ended up being successful. It seems like most are successful if baby A is head down. My baby A was also bigger!
