How much maternity leave did you take?

I know it’s different for everyone, but how much time off work were you able to take off when you had your baby?

My OB put me off 2 weeks before my FMLA was supposed to start due to swelling in my ankles and extreme pain in my hips to where I can barley walk

I'm planning to take 8 weeks, then return to work part time and work from home part time. I'm fortunate to have a flexible job that will let me do this. However, I'm also the head of my department, and can't take too much time completely off without returning to utter chaos.

I was off at 14 weeks on, and took nine weeks after baby.

0 I had gotten pregnant in high school and I went right to college that summer in May and I had my daughter in December right before Christmas break and I took off that week and I had to go right back🤦‍♀️
