What’s going on???!?!

The past week has been awful for my baby. She’s now 6 weeks old. She’s super clingy, fussy, won’t sleep without being held, and last night wouldn’t sleep in her bassinet until 3am she had to be held. I can’t set her down for a second she starts crying day or night. As soon as I pick her up she falls asleep. Please tell me this will be over soon! I have a toddler as well, and I’m running on empty!

Takes time but it’s just as stage, my little one is 5 weeks and has been doing the same but during the day i managed to get my 2yo to have quiet movie time when brother naps and that’s how i get a little shut eye. I don’t have comforting words or tricks

It’s supposed to be the time of a mental leap according to the Wonder Weeks app which overwhelms them. Mine is 5 weeks and we’re definitely in the middle of it. He wants to be held more, he refused to nap yesterday, was up for 6 straight hours before I went to Target and browsed while he slept in the baby carrier. He hasn’t let me eat all week, I’ve only had snack bars and dinner when my husband and I can take turns. I’m glad my toddler goes to daycare most days.

My daughter did the same last week at 6 weeks , but luckily she is back to normal self this week

Same here! My son was doing great, then all the sudden this week (6 weeks) he started being super fussy and not sleeping unless he is held.

Same thing here at 6 weeks. Lasted a few days and back to our happy self. Hang in there mama...the days are long, but the years are short!! It’ll pass!! ❤️

Same. Started the second he turned 5 weeks. Almost a week into it now and he definitely is getting better. I’d say it was probably 3 days of it being really bad. Still need to improve his napping without being held during the day, but definitely less fussy and sleeping better at night. Good luck!

Either that’s just the phase she’s in at the moment and will eventually grow out of it or it could be down to a developmental mile stone that is causing her to be unsettled at the moment x
