Period sex

My bf and I had period sex for the very first time two days ago. It was by accident because I literally started my period during the sex. When he pulled out to change positions, he saw the blood and said he didn’t really mind it so he kept going. It was really nice and I thought it was sweet of him to not get grossed out. I came over today to spend some time with him and for sex too. I told him I wanted to have period sex because we already had it and I was really in the mood. My flow isn’t heavy rn but he still didn’t want to because “he’s not fond of blood”. I was a bit confused because we had already done it and I felt kinda sad about being rejected. Am I wrong for feeling this way? How do your partners feel about period sex?
