How accurate are growth scans in terms of getting the baby’s weight?

I had growth scan due to gestational diabetes and I’m 38 weeks and they said baby’s weight is 3.3kgs and said it was average size for 38weeks

I’ve heard so many controversial things about this, My baby is currently measuring small so of course this peaks my interest, but my friend literally just had her baby today by c-section because at her apt Wednesday her baby was measuring 11 pounds. He came out today at 10 pounds 11 ounces.... so to me what I’ve seen from experience can be very accurate.... on the other hand babies do ball up and law awkward resulting in not so perfect measurements all the time

At 36 weeks I was told baby would be roughly 7 & half lbs at my induction at 37 weeks. She was 7 lbs 6 oz so mine was pretty close. My sister in law was told 10lbs 9 oz and had c section two days later and he was exactly 10 lb 9 oz....

Yes that's a nice sized baby for 38 weeks. I was told my son would be 8lbs but he was born 9lbs so it can be a little off but not by much
