No Longer on Birth Control

Melissa
I have been on the pill forever.. Some on, some off... I have gone on it and off it previously with no real side effects when I was early 20s. I am now 28, and recently married, and we decided to go off the pill again and start trying for our first child. When I went off the pill my period came immediately, which makes sense... and it lasted about 4 days... But then it came again two weeks later, lasted about 4-5 days, then came again two weeks later.... Now, according to this app, it should start today, and isn't here... I seem to have some symptoms, but honestly, they could go toward pregnancy or PMS... Breast tenderness, tired, light cramps...Any thoughts on what my body is up to?

Probably just readjusting to it's original rhythm without birth control :)

I think you have maintained your hormonal balance via those pills and now without them your body is responsible for producing hormones without any help! it will take time to have regular period on time! eat well and exercise, it gonna be alright

I would expect some irregularity because your body is readjusting to it's own hormones and doesn't have the artificial ones which birth control put into your body! It will probably be a few months before you have regular periods, but that's pretty normal!
