My wife started shopping we were in our second trimester. I’m thankful that she started early because our pregnancy went by quick! 
We announced when I was in my second trimester. We told the people who would care. We had our gender reveal a month after. We have a small tribe but our son is loved.

I actually started buying before i started ttc. I bought some gender neutral stuff, diapers, and wipes and started stocking early. Luckily when I actually tried it took first cycle but regardless I knew I wanted a baby whether that be from me or adopted so I just started to prepare myself but everyone is different. And we decided not the announce to anyone until we hit 12 weeks. But our parents knew about a week after I got our positive.

I started buying diapers wipes socks neutral blankets the minute I found out. Can never have too many diapers right🙃
