When did you leave the house with your newborn?

I've been in the house since June 21st. I need to get out😭😭 I got my nails done, massage. I know I can go walking. But I'm just stuck because baby doesn't get shots til end of July. How do you guys do it?

Day 3 when we got home from hospital. Been out almost everyday since

Avoid crowds, babywear or cover with a thin blanket. We had to take our son to multiple doctor appointments right after he was born to test for a newborn disorder (turns out he’s fine) and we kept him covered. Also breastfed him. He never got sick. If you don’t want to chance it, go for drives. I would get in the car and drive to a Starbucks several miles away and then come back home.

We went out. We just didn’t let strangers touch him or get near his face. We baby wore or dropped a muslin blanket over him to help deter people. Our son has had two colds in 13 months and that’s it, which is impressive considering how much time he spent around sick people (he came with me to hundreds of appts during his first 6 months of life when I was quite sick).

Go out!!! Put a cover over baby or even wear baby in a carrier. That way people can’t get in your little ones space. I left the house two weeks after having my baby and he was born at the end of January. You don’t have to somewhere busy. Go on a walk around your neighborhood. But seriously, for your sanity, get out of the house!!

We went out like 3 days after he was born. I cannot stay cooped up in the house. I just said no touching and kept a blanket over his car seat. He’s a healthy 4 year old now

When I had baby number 3 I left hospital  6 hours later. Picked up the other kids from school pushing a pram!
No rules in UK that you stay in!

You leave the house with your baby anyways. We were out running errands within days of coming home from the hospital. Baby wear if you’re nervous and just don’t let anyone touch baby.

I went out walking with her a lot once I felt up to it. Her first outing in public was at 3 weeks. We just kept people from touching her.
