Military wife

Okay im an army wife and ftm, my husband is currenrly gone and im 7 months pregnant and he will come gome for 2 weeks whsn baby arrives then leaves until she is 2 and a half month so I'm stuck and need some opinions . I'm in a pickle and need some opinion. I have a crib for Emma however since we will be leaving California we she is 2& a half months I personally don't feel setting up that huge crib is nessacary and I feel as a newborn it's quite huge. So I'm settling with a bassinet until we get stationed. Have any of you mothers used the in bed bassinet ? I'm looking into it and personally feel more confident using that than a bassinet on wheels, especially since I will be taking care of her alone having her right there seems more convenient, however her sleeping on my chest or in my arms is something I don't want, so my question is the in bed bassinet a good idea , has any one had issues with it ? Thank you
