My boyfriend wants to sell weed

My boyfriend (24 this year) asked me how I’d feel if he started selling weed. I couldn’t believe he even asked me that. I looked at him like “are you serious right now?” And he’s like “if you don’t like it I won’t do it.” And I said “yes I’d be highly uncomfortable if you started selling weed.” And he said “okay I won’t then.” I’m just like amazed he even thought that was a good idea. Like you’re not 17 anymore, grow up.... he mentioned being broke and that he could take me out more if he sold weed and I told him I don’t care. I told him I’m disappointed in him. Was I too hard on him?
