When to start?

Hi everyone!
I am loving scanning your photos for inspiration.  Just wondering when did you start planning, getting furniture, putting pieces together? Are some items usually from a registry? And when did you start your registry!
I'm 11+3 and it seems too early for all this, but my planner tendencies make me nervous about leaving it too late!

I’m 30 weeks now. We finished the nursery beginning of last month. I didn’t put any nursery items on the registry. I felt that was high price stuff to ask for folks to buy. So, nursery was all expenses paid by myself and husband.

I started getting furniture first trimester! Figured it was better to start while I had the energy/mobility. It’s been nice to have it done now that I’m 3rd tri and don’t have to worry about anything besides decorating.

I started a pinterest board before I was even pregnant lol I'm now 24 weeks and have been slowly cleaning out the room for the last couple of weeks. I'm a planner as well but have anxiety and for some reason found it hard to get started. I have everything planned out in my head and already have the furniture picked out. I just need to finish moving everything around, get the room painted and order furniture. I would prefer to have everything done by 35 weeks in case I go a little early. I need to wait until it cools off a little to install the ceiling fan. I couldn't in good conscience ask anyone to go into the attic during summer to move the electrical around. But that could be a final touch or even happen after baby is here. He'll likely sleep in our room for at least a few weeks.

I want to know the gender first. Unfortunately baby wasn't working with us yesterday so I have to wait another 2 weeks to find out 😩. Once I know the gender I'll probably start to get things done

We’re 19 weeks and we’re starting to decide which room and get it cleaned out. I’ve picked furniture and theme, but haven’t purchased much yet. I’m a planner like you and a teacher so I want it at least started before I head back to school in August! That’s just who I am! 😝

My wife and I started planning and painting very early (shes big on having a plan and sticking to it). I believe towards the end of the 1st trimester or early 2nd trimester. Our son was a gender surprise so we were able to start sooner than most. After that we ordered our furniture, we wanted to get that quickly since we felt that could be a time consuming part of the process. Once we completed all the necessities it raised our mind a lot and we enjoyed taking our time to add detail to the room.

I started after 13/14 weeks, decided the color palette and got furniture first! But I was slow with his nursery and didn’t finish till like 38 weeks lol

Started in the second trimester around 24 weeks but now that I’m 30 weeks we are really focusing on it and doing more work. Some people start super early and that’s fine, others wait. Either way works
