Birth Control

I just started using birth control pills, and I’ve been taking them at night around 9:30pm because I’m always awake then and it seemed like a good time to take them, but twice now I’ve taken them late I took one of my pills at roughly 10pm and another at 10:30pm? I’m hanging out with a guy in two days , do you think I’m safe or should he be wearing a condom? ( he doesn’t have stds I just don’t know if my birth control can be trusted.)
