Baby fighting sleep!?

I really need some help. It seems like every day is just a never ending battle to get my daughter to go to sleep. Especially in the nighttime after her bath! She screams and screams for up to 4 hours or even more. It can't be very good for her because she hardly sleeps anymore. She just wants to see everything and when she does fall asleep, as soon as I put her down she'll wake up and start screaming and will be a repeat again!!

I thought I should update you all, I took Ava to the doctors and it turns out she has got severe reflux! They prescribed some gaviscon infant powder and told me to always keep her propped up and she is so much happier!

She is probably used to being held and being close to you.  As soon as she realises that she screams.  Sounds to me you need to wean her off of that.  You want to put the baby in the crib while she is awake and let her fall asleep on her own.  I would talk to the baby's pediatrician on how to wean her off being close to you all the time..,,

Is she over tired? Babies are a lot harder to put down when they are over tired. Maybe try putting her down earlier?

Maybe you are trying to put her down when she is already to tired or she could have some reflux and if that's the case reflux babies have a hard time sleeping flat one of my twins has to sleep at an incline or screams. Have you tried letting her sleep in a rock n play or even swing for a bit

How old is she? Perhaps she's colicky. Have you tried gripe water?
