10 week old nursing less?

recently i noticed my 10 week old has started nursing for 6-8 minutes at a time. he’s eating pretty much every 2 hours during the day though. until evenings when he eats like crazy. he used to go 15-20 minute feedings. is this a normal change?

My daughter is doing the same. Doctor said she’s just getting better at it.

My little one is nursing less and is still in the 85th percentile so I’m chalking it up to being more efficient

I noticed this change too. I think they just start getting more efficient at nursing and take less time to eat the same amount. I was told, as long as LO is still making enough wet/ dirty nappies and is happy and alert, she’s getting enough to eat.

I would say my LO is the exact same, 9weeks old. Only difference is during day time he eats every 1.15 to 1.30 hours.
