When or if I should remove my bellybutton piercing...?

When I was at my doctors for my initial pregnancy confirmation she told me that I should take out my piercing before I got too big. I was just wondering others opinions or experiences with this. I don’t want it to close up. My doctor reassured me it wouldn’t because I’ve had it for over 15 years...but I’m still wondering if there is a way to keep it in.

You can buy specially made jewellery that flexes as your belly grows but you’ll have to remove it if it becomes uncomfortable.

I still have mine in at almost 26 weeks. It doesnt hurt. But my tattoo is fading on my stretching stomach 🙂

I’m almost positive it won’t close. I still have mine in at 16 weeks. 
I’ve had mine done 7/8 years ago and I’ve taken it out many times for various reasons and it’s never closed. They also sell belly button piercings specifically for pregnancy on amazon, so it doesn’t stretch and look funny afterwards.

I’ve had mine for 15 years. I took it out before they told me to because I could feel my skin stretching at the front. Every few days I stick the ring back through to keep it open but it doesn’t seem like it’s closing at all. I think I took it out at 28 weeks

I had mine for 12 years and have had it taken out for 8 years and it’s still not closed... I could still put the ring through my hole today so I don’t think you should worry.... I wish it would close up 😝
