I have a friend who her and her husband are constantly posting pics and videos of her 8 month old “drinking” alcohol or posing with alcohol. I really don’t find it funny or cute. It’s disgusting to me and promoting such an unhealthy lifestyle. Who cares if you drink as an adult but why is it so funny to people if a baby looks like they’re drinking beer??? Please someone explain. Am I missing something?

Gotta be honest, any attempt to make kids more "grown" makes me cringe- the onsies with sayings about beer, sex, etc, kids posing with alcohol, and so on. However, as long as it isn't my kiddo, I just scroll on by.

I might find it funny like 1x even then it just depends on the pic My MIL sent me a pic of my son holding a empty twisted tea with a funnt caption when he was like 2 and it was funny and cute but she nor anyone else did it agian i mean when u keep doing it It does kinda make u question the parent like ok that was funny the 1x but 6...7..8+ times later ya no to me imo not funny Kinda werid really

What is it about alcohol that parents find so funny? If it were a joint or cigarette would you find it just as funny? Why or why not?

To me baby represent innocence and if your friends are constantly doing this they could be trying to make their problem or their relationship with drinking seem like less of a threat like look it’s funny because it s acute baby posed in a funny way. Anyone who thinks there is humor is pretending that their baby is drinking or smoking probably isn’t very mature themselves It’s just juvenile it’s how teenagers behave.
