Lucky? NBR
So I was laying down with my DS ( dear son), only 7 months old, and I hear a hissing. Not like a snake.
But like when you leave a bottle of something carbonated slightly open and it hisses because of air pressure.
I didn’t think anything of it. Like okay.
Five minutes go by and it’s still making that noise.
Now I make sure my son is sleeping before getting out of bed to find that noise. Because I’m getting really anxious.
I go to the foot of the bed and I pick up a bottle of carbonated water, make sure it’s closed, the noise isn’t coming from there.
I grab the babies formula bottle thinking maybe the lid is too tight and it’s doing that weird vacuum effect again. It’s not.
At this point I’m like freaking out a little bit inside because the noise is stressing me out. I look around and all I see are wire for chargers, computer, phone etc. while moving my baby backpack, I touch the end piece of my computer charger, and it burns my finger!
I pull the rest of the chord towards me to look at and there’s a singed black spot on the chord that is legitimately smoking! My computer charger had almost caught on fire and was smoking!
I have never unplugged and thrown something into the sink so fast in my life.
If I hadn’t gotten up to check on that little noise, and had fallen asleep with my son instead, who knows what could have happened...
I call this luck, and I’m glad I listened to my gut telling me to see what it was.
