Period won't end

After stopping bc pills last month at the end of the pack, and was on them for 3 months, I got my period the 18th of this month and I'm still on my period? It's really getting old. My husband and I are ttc. I was on depo for 6 months ending in January 2015. I have a doctors appt the 8th. What should I say if im still on my period ??????
