FTM, any family members demanding things ?

So here is my beef.

I love 9 hours away from family and every vacation is ruined because it’s always tied in with seeing family. Normally I’m cool with it - but EVERY vacation? It’s annoying .

So I’m due any day now (finally!) and I was talking to my mom about joining them for July 4th week next year. This would be my babies first beach trip!!! 😁They go to the beach that is near my other families sides vacation home. I told my mom that my husband, his son, baby girl, and myself would stay in our own place so that way we can come and go as we please . Get some peace and quiet . My mom usually has 11-12 people with her . So the entire family stays in a three story condo. So we will get our own little air b n b! Sounded fun. I want my mom to be around my baby as much as possible, along with her aunts!

I called my dads mom (dad has been passed away since I was 3 months old)- and was just talking to her in general. Brought up that I was planning a July 4th trip next year to hang out with my mom. FIRST THING out of her mouth was “well you’ll have to split up time between both places” (meaning both sides of the family). Fuck that. I split up Christmas- CHRISTMAS!!! I drive nine hours one way to be with these people and I travel around like a chicken with my head cut off bouncing from my moms house, my grandmas house, and my husbands family . IM FED UP. I’m also fed up that it’s just expected of me to sacrifice every single holiday, and vacation to be with EVERYONE. I don’t think I would be as sour if my grandma (she’s not that old and she loves plane rides 🤦🏻‍♀️) had ever come visit me in the three years I’ve lived here. I always have to go to her.

Am I being insensitive ? I just want to do one thing without feeling like a ping pong ball.
