Overreacting??

I was raped, couldn’t tell my family only very few of my friends. My friend got me plan B because, my family tends to be very fertile. I felt guilty taking the pill, I felt like I was killing a child that may or may not even be there. I know it’s silly, honestly, but it was hard for me to take the pill. Are my feelings misplaced and exaggerated, or is this normal?

Your feelings are completely valid, but plan B isn’t the same as abortion. Plan B doesn’t kill eggs, it just prevents an egg and sperm from creating a baby. That’s why plan B only works within like 72 hours after having sex. You didn’t kill a baby, you just prevented a baby from being conceived. I hope that gives you some relief. Also, I am so sorry to hear you were raped... do you have a therapist, or trusted adult, that can help you process that...? Also, how old are you?... no woman/girl should ever have to go through that, but I can relate because it happened to me too

Your feelings are very valid and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. It’s a tough thing to think you might be getting rid of a potential child but plan B doesn’t quite work that way. It makes it so the egg doesn’t imbed in the uterus if god forbid your egg had already been fertilized and started attaching itself to tour wall then the medicine would not work. It’s basically just hormones to make you have a period. If your really worried about it take a pregnancy test in the next 14 days to be extra sure. If your pregnant just remember your baby deserves a chance at life. I don’t mean have the baby and raise it but maybe give someone the chance of motherhood who otherwise will never get the chance ( adoption ) anyways honey now I’m overreacting 🤣 if you need someone to talk to in here for you.
