Semen analysis help/how to improve motility?

Can you guys give me some advice on what all this means and what we can do to improve motility haven’t met with the dr yet.

Low motility means low movement. Without movement, swimmers don’t swim. It also says poor volume. With both battling against you, you will want to consult your OB for a referral for your husband. They can evaluate whether or not it’s a fertility issue, where he isn’t producing enough, or he may just have a vein cutting of circulation to it. This also happens.

So from what I understand motility refers to if the sperm swim in a direction (straight line or circles) or not. So with his being low it would mean less sperm able to actually swim to reach the egg. His volume was also a bit low though so perhaps if they retest and he produces more volume there would be more motile. His actual count is great tho. I’m no expert however, so I’m sure someone on here will have more info

20% motile is low. I think you want 40%. Not sure. The way you’ll probably deal with that is IUI. It’s pretty common. Try not to stress until you talk to your doctor
