Help! Can I take Prednisone?

Hi everyone!

I was recently diagnosed with nasal polyps in my right nostril. The recommended med to get rid of them is prednisone. I’m in the second trimester. I haven’t found other solutions other than surgery which can be pricey. Has anyone had to take it for any reason? And did it affect your baby in any way? I didn’t go to my PCP but a convenient MD, and I told them I was pregnant but said in the second trimester I should be fine. I’m worried because from what I read it could cause cleft lip or premature birth. Let me know if you have any idea, I haven’t taken it yet because I’m worried. I need to call my PCP in the morning, but for tonight I just need some advice on what to do because it’s so hard to breathe properly. Thank you!
