Have you told your family already?

Question

Trying to figure out when most people tell their close family (mom/dad/siblings). My first ultrasound is on Friday and that will be at 7 weeks and 1 day. 
I know the risk of miscarrying decreases after week 12, but have also heard it goes down once you see the heartbeat as well. 
Thoughts? I know ultimately it’s our decision, but curious as to what others do.

My husband and I told our immediate family at 5 1/2 weeks, soon after we found out. Our reasoning for doing so was that if we do lose the baby, I’d want to be able to talk to them about it and have their understanding and support. If you can trust your family to keep it quiet from others, I think it can be nice for them to be in the know early so you have more people to lean on!

I lost 2 babies at 10 weeks after seeing strong heartbeats. It definitely happens which is why the norm is to announce after 12 (even though after 12 week losses and stillborns etc do happen) but odds are in your favor. It all depends if you’d like their support or not. For my first loss I loved the support and company. It helped so much. My second one was full of anger. And many naturally had questions “what did the doctor say” “why did it happen again” etc. and it became very stressful.
I’m currently 10 weeks 2 days and my 11 week appointment is In a few days and I think I’m going to wait til 12-15 weeks just because I’m kind of enjoying the peace right now of just me and my husband going through the motions

We told my family at 5+2 and his at 7weeks. At 5+2 I was in the emergency room with severe abdominal pain. I was petrified I would lose my baby. After the pain subsided and we were told baby was still fine I had an overwhelming fear that I would lose another baby and no one would have known I was even pregnant. My first pregnancy was ectopic and my parents found out when my husband called them from the hospital to let them know I was in surgery to remove bub and my tube. I didn’t want that again. We left hospital and went straight to my parents. Hubby wanted to wait until 7 weeks when we could see bub and a heart flutter. We are still nervous for future ultrasounds but so many more people are aware of and love our baby now and it fills me with love. 8+1 today 💕 whatever you choose is the right decision for you, there is no right or wrong xx

My fiancé and I told my mum and 2 of our friends but that’s it. We aren’t telling a single soul until our 12 week ultrasound. We haven’t even told our 8 year old daughter yet.

I had a miscarriage in October 2018. So now we want to wait til at least 15 weeks. Strong prayers 🤞🏼

You have a lot of self control to have held out this far!! 
I found out I was pregnant at 14dpo and about 3 days later we told my parents, in-laws, siblings! Even though there is always a risk for losing the baby, this is my first time getting pregnant and I want my family’s support. ❤️👶🏻😍 We are so blessed to have gotten pregnant, and our family could be happier for us. It truly is a wonderful feeling to see their reactions so happy!

We told our family only a few days after getting a positive test.. we couldn’t imagine this journey without our immediate family!! We plan to announce soon.. not sure when lol! I will be 10 weeks tomorrow. We saw healthy baby/heartbeat  at 8 weeks

I'm 7+2 today. We sent out our announcements to our families on Saturday and are just waiting for them to arrive in the mail!

I did after the first US was fine.. at 7 weeks.
I lost one last September and did announce it before my US, and lost it the day after US... so we agreed to wait at least until this first step this time. So far so good, 11 weeks today
