TMI period question

Hey ladies, the app says I'm supposed to start my period tomorrow. While at work I thought I had started and got a pad and went to the bathroom. When I looked there was just (kind of a lot) of mucus with a little dot of blood in it. After I used the bathroom and wiped it was still really just mucus and a little more blood but mostly mucus. I dont think there's any way I could be pregnant (dont remember when the last time i had sex was LOL) but this is super unusual for me. Any insight? TIA
