UPDATED : Getting a job while 6 months pregnant??

Adrienne

Update:

At the interview I told them right away that I am pregnant, I have many years of retail experience, I had open availability and could work any time of the day, I live close to the store about a 5 minute drive so coming in early or staying later would be no problem. Up until that point I felt like the interview was going really well. Then I was told a seasonal position would be for back to school, through the holidays and end in January. I let her know my baby is due 11/4, she looked away from me and said no problem. I could tell the mood in the room started to change, but we finished the interview. I was told to check my email to see if I would be hired or not. After I left I was feeling unsure of whether or I’d get the job or not, but still feeling hopeful. This morning I woke up to a bad dream where I was being bullied so I was already feeling down when I woke up. Checked my email and saw that kohl’s chose not to hire me and I just cried 😭 I text my bf and told him, since he’s at work right now. He called me about 15 minutes later and kept telling me it’s okay and not to let it stress me. I get a call from him again asking if I’m hungry and what I wanted to eat. I told him I was thinking about going to Taco Bell. He said not to worry about it and ordered and paid for my food online so all I had to do was go pick it up. After stuffing my face with a meal and an order of Cinnabon delights I’m feeling better than I was, but still a little bummed 🙁

I am 23w pregnant and recently applied for a seasonal position at kohl’s to bring in some extra income before my baby comes(EDD 11/4), and just received an email inviting me to set up an interview. Now I’m wondering if I should go through with it, and if a place would even hire me since I am clearly showing. I have not worked since the end of 2017, but I would try to work as close to my EDD as possible, so about 15-16 weeks. My bf makes good money so we’re not in desperate need of cash, but like I said I’d like to have some extra money for the baby. Does anyone else have any experience of starting a job while pregnant?

ETA: At this point, my Bf thinks if I want to start working I should just wait until a few months after our baby is born.
