My mom is disgusted by me.
So I've been on this healthy eating diet for about two weeks.
today while my boyfriend of 5 years was at my house we were outside with my dogs. My mother comes along and decides to make a point about how well I've been doing on the diet. She told me in front of my boyfriend that she wished I loved myself and that cared for myself in hopes of me getting a better boyfriend if I "fix" my body. I want to stand up to her but then I feel guilty. I freaked out because If my own mother is disgusted by me is my boyfriend too?

girl you’re beautiful, do r let anyone tell you otherwise.personally i’ve struggled with weight a lot because of my pcos. my mom always called me fat and told me i needed to lose weight, constantly pointed out my cellulite and stretch marks.. it hurt me and broke my self esteem.i met my now fiancé and he taught me how to love myself. i fell in love with the way my body looks and learned how to take care of myself at my own pace. i still struggle with confidence, but he’s always there to back me up!!love yourself! at the end of the day, yours is the ONLY opinion that matters. 💛

Thank you, I struggle so much with low self-esteem. No matter how much my boyfriend tells me I'm beautiful I can't help but think otherwise.
