Decrease in movement?

Has anyone experienced a decrease in movement around 38-39 weeks? I’ll be 39 on Thursday. I do still feel him, just not as often as I usually do and it seems like his movements aren’t as strong as they usually are. He does get the hiccups everyday and he’s still getting them like he usually does. I’m just paranoid that something could be wrong, has anyone experienced this?

I’m 38+2 and have decreased movements but I was told it’s because there isn’t much space left for baby to move as much as before 🤷🏽‍♀️

I feel like mine has picked up but it’s way more painful because there isn’t much room. The feet in the ribs and his butt sticking out to the side is so painful. I used to have an anterior placenta so I couldn’t feel much so now it feels like I can feel every twitch.

After 38/39 weeks my baby slowed down a lot! Still moves when I coax her to, or if I drink cold water but nothing like before. I just assume she’s running out of room.

I was worried too and midwife said to help my mind 8-10 movements every two hours. Hiccups count and any other small movements count so baby has been good and she did also tell me that as well he’s just running out of room 39 weeks today

I notice less movements overall but when he does move he moves!
