Should I go back to the salon and talk to them?

Question

So I went to the nail salon to get acrylics she used a sanding tool and cut my cuticles so bad that I started bleeding. She noticed and put what felt like alcohol on it and it burnt so bad now my finger looks looks infected. Do I demand a refund or what? I paid 50 dollars and I’m unsure if they will get me a refund. What do I do?

I would absolutely ask for money back.
Next time, and I know everyone struggles with it (especially in chop shops marketed as high end nail salons!!), stop the service and leave. That is not how a service should go down at all.
If they are cutting you up, then they are cutting others up, and likely not sanitizing their implements properly.

Yes! They'll probably try to deny it though. I'd definitely leave a Google review of them to warn others. In future maybe go to like a local nail tech, those big salons are always unsanitary af

They shouldn’t be using a drill on any part of your natural nail! I wouldn’t go back there. I’d at least call and tell them what happened and see if you can come get your money back!

Ughh I hate it when they cut the cuticle. It’s always one of those “no appointment needed” places. Not only does it hurt but I’ve had one girl use what I’m pretty sure was a dirty hand towel to soak the blood 🤬. I hate confrontation though so now there is only 1 place that I go where they take their time, do it right, and they never cut me!  The other place lost my business for good.
