I’ll set the scene dinner table husband and I were having a conversation that wasn’t serious.. someone said godforbid if anything happened to our two year old son what would we do somehow.. my husband without hesitation said I would be out of here! I said oh so you’re only here for your son and he said no I am only here to keep my family together ... what would
You make from this comment ? 
Since my son has been born we have had sooo many struggles.

I mean he pretty much admitted he's only there for your baby and clearly doesn't have romantic love for you if he doesn't want to stay. I'd be getting counseling or leave if he really feels that way

Pause. How long have you two been married?? Everyone is so quick to throw relationships away so quickly (I agree though when it comes to any type of abuse, cheating or disrespect you must leave) but it sounds like you’re hitting a rough patch in your marriage and it needs to be worked out. It sounds like neither of you are happy but there. So go to therapy together, go separately try both? If you’ve given the relationship and shot at fixing and it still isn’t better then yes part ways.

I would want out of that. Millions of people co-parent. And believe me that staying together for your kids isn’t the best option, kids are smart and they can tell when mom and dad aren’t happy.
