Anyone else going to have rules?
I mentioned to my fiance yesterday I do not want anyone other than him and I kissing our son. I said maybe immediate family such as his and my parents after he has built a stronger immune system. Not comfortable with my fiances younger sister kissing baby as she is 6yrs old and will likely be exposed to many germs from other kids at school and last year there were many many kids in my province who got severely sick that were 5yrs old. I'd rather not risk it with how advanced common colds are becoming. As well as I do not want anyone holding him without washing their hands, and if someone is sick, to not be near him. May sound high strung but he is also our little rainbow baby after a miscarriage and ectopic last year. My fiance debated with me about this and then I saw an article on fb of another infant death from an adult with a cold sore virus kissing the baby and after that I called it and told him it's not happening. I'll be that jerk if it keeps my child healthy while he is most vulnerable. I will not be like this forever, I just feel while he is a newborn up until he has most of his first year shots that I dont feel comfortable with people kissing him.
