Friends with your ex

If your bf broke up with you , after 6 years of being together haven’t seen him in almost one month . But last night I went to get my stuff at his house and we ended up having sex he said he still love me . I literally thought we would get back together since we had sex . But today he texted me to ask so what now ? I told him I wanted to be with him , and he said he didn’t know what he wanted but he says he still loves me . Towards the end he ended up saying to let’s just be friends ? Can you be friends with someone you love ? Is there a possibility we can get together ? Like what should I do I really want to be with him more then Just friends
