Have you told work your expecting? When will you tell work

I started a new role (promotion) in the same company I've  been at for 10 years when I was 4 weeks pregnant. I didn't tell them early on as the risks are high with early pregnancy etc etc  I still haven't told work yet that I am 14 weeks pregnant. I feel anxious about it as I've accepted the promotion. Help??

They can't legally withhold a promotion from you because you're pregnant. Tell them when you're ready 😊. Most people tell their work early because of sickness. My work knew right away because I did IVF and my boss is also my friend, but my coworker didn't tell them until she was 18 weeks so just do it when you're ready and try not to worry about it!

I told my work at 11 weeks. I work in a really small town and once family knew I knew people would start to tell people and my work would find out.

I told my boss pretty early on just because I work around meds that are potentially dangerous for the baby.

I had to tell my manager because I had fallen in a few times due to sickness and I meed certain days off for my appointments. I didn’t want him to think I’m just missing days for no reason. So I decided to tell him at 12 weeks. I wanted to wait longer but under the circumstances and how strict they are with attendance, I had to.

I told my work the first day I found out because I was already sick and i had a feeling it would get worse, oh it did😑 I throw up every single day and it comes without warning. I am able to work from home so they’ve been super understanding and great about me not coming into the office

If you’ve been in the new role for 10wks they should feel fine about knowing this news right? And yes if you’re in the US they can’t legally do anything anyway.
I’m 13w and still haven’t told work. My due date is VERY bad timing in terms of my work cycle so I’m nervous to tell my boss too. I think I’ll tell them next week (if I EVER get my dna results back, which is also what I’ve been waiting on)

The promotion shouldn’t come into it. You just tell them when you’re ready to.
