Anyone taking prednisone?

I’ve taken this from 2017 (15mg) and I have gained so many weigh and I hate this, any recommendation?

I have been on predison 20 for over a year and when I told my doc anuff I drop 30 pounds in 6 months I have lupus and said I would rather die that be like this any more

I don’t have any tips or tricks but I feel your pain. I have ulcerative colitis, I was put on heavy doses for months at a time & the weight just kept piling on. It really affected my mood as well. It got to the point that I pretty much refuse to go back on it (which I know is not an option for everyone). But I feel your pain. What I did to slow it down is I only drank water, & just ate as clean as I possible could & exercised as often as I could. But the weight didn’t come off until a year after I was off of it. Hang in there feel better soon!

I was on prednisone for a few months,  40mil then tapered down by 5 until I was done when I was diagnosed with Crohn’s Disease, I was a couple months away from my wedding and was devastated! 
I was normally 120, 3 months into taking it I was 150! I tried loosing weight before but it was impossible, I wasn’t just fat but a lot of water retention! 
I’ve been off of it for 8 months now and I’m finally back to my weight before I started!

I do. I have to take it to stop flares. I taper 60 mg by 10 for 6 days. It makes me gain weight too because I take it so much. It makes me moody. This summer I refused to take it to stop a flare and I was forced to in the end because I couldn’t get to work

I have taken prednisone for 2 years and recently like a year ago I started tapering my dose so that I could stop taking it! My skin is ruined and I’ve had to lose over 80 pounds to get back to where I started at! Never again will I take more steroids even though they made my life more manageable I will never get back on them.
