Thinking about getting a doula

I am 32 weeks with my 2nd baby. My husband says he was traumatized with the birth of our son 3 years ago, I really don’t think he’s making it up or being sarcastic. So we discuss getting a doula, but he is really against is because he thinks it’s a waste of money. I am not going to have anyone else present for the birth and I really want a supportive and knowledgeable person present. My husband can’t even handle giving me a 3 minute massage now. Seriously 🙄

Has anyone had a good experience with a doula? Please give me some good arguments to convince him it’s a good investment!
