Not telling anyone when in labour

I've requested to my half other that he tell no one (family & friends) when I'm in labour.

When his brothers girlfriend was in labour he told the family & the family Facebook chat just blew up constantly asking if our nephew had been born yet for almost 3 days. I felt sorry for them constantly being pestered during their special moment.

I'm not being rude requesting this am I?
