Best camera for the best price

So I want to start capturing my pregnancy and definitely capture my birth and I want a ton of quality pictures of my baby once it is born. Like I want better pictures than what my iphone can take. I would prefer a camera that's under $500 but would like to stay under $250. I don't know what a good camera is. I'm new to this. I know that really good cameras are $1500+ but I'm an amateur right now so I don't need anything that fancy. I'll probably stick to taking most pictures outdoor in the sunlight or pictures indoor with regular house lighting. In other words, I won't be doing anything fancy like taking a ton of pictures in the dark. Those are just some of the brands that I have been looking at. Please comment which camera you have, how much it cost, and if you would recommend it. I want to get an idea of what kind of cameras to stay away from and which ones to look at. I was looking at a Nikon D3300 and a couple of canons and one fujifilm camera.
