Anyone have a crazy mother in law? Did you tell her sooner or later about the pregnancy...

Crazy as in kind of overbearing. She’s definitely not the worst at all and MOST of it comes from a good place.

We’ve lost 2. One she never knew til we lost it at 12 weeks (babe stopped growing at 10 weeks) since she’s from out of town and we didn’t get to see her in person.

Second one we told her at 4 weeks as her Christmas present. Same thing happened at 11 weeks 3 days I had a scan and babe stopped growing at 10 weeks 2 days.

After being on progesterone immediately and putting me on daily aspirin things are looking good. (i freaking hope) my 11 week 1 day appointment is in 2 days and I’m the farthest I’ve been (babys alive)

With the second one since she knew early on came ALL THE FREAKING OPINIONS. She was (playfully) upset we wanted to wait on gender. She didn’t lose a chance to mention that she’d call the doctor if she had to. She offered to buy us a crib and I really didn’t want to purchase anything yet but sent her some I wanted. She found something wrong with every single one... didn’t like the color, etc. Didnt like I was going to announce at 13 weeks because she believes in “mal de ojo” if any Spanish people in here lol basically bad luck or bad vibes so didn’t want me to go public. things like that just so I dont make this post ridiculously long.

I was planning to not say anything til maybe 5 months pregnant but now I’m thinking her craziness may be even worse with shorter time for babies arrival ?

Idk thoughts? Tell her at 11-13 weeks or wait til 4-5months

Some background: she left my husband in another city at 16 weeks and moved. He was def a hard teenager but doesn’t make it right the way she handled as she was the adult. I’m 27 he’s 28 we’re married own a home etc. she literally is just in our lives for holidays and some trips to go see her throughout the year but when we got pregnant she was all of a sudden the most involved “mom” so I’m just kind of wanting to have peace in a way
