So I’m supposed to be going to the beach but I think I’ll have my period the same time I’m there what do I do I don’t really like tampons

You have to use tampons or try out a menstrual cup. Those are really your only options if you want to go in the water. If you’re okay with just standing in the water, then you can use a pad and just don’t go far into the water. If you get the pad wet, then that won’t be good because it can’t absorb the blood.

Some girls are able to wear pads on their swimsuit with shorts over if their flow is light. That has worked for me when I wasn’t able to get tampons. You can try it but it’s not a sure thing that it will work.

Girl I’m in the same boat as you 🙄 it sucks. I used a tampon the first time today and I might never use one again, they just aren’t for me. Once I’m older I’ll probably try a cup.
