Thank God for Terbutaline

35+2 Just got home from L&D. Was outside doing maternity pictures and my Braxton Hicks turned into real contractions. It took me awhile to realize something was wrong because they didn’t hurt, but after 3 1/2 hours my mom told me to call. On-call nurse had me come in, and sure enough, I was 1cm dilated and having contractions every 2-4 minutes. Administered a shot of terbutaline and thankfully the contractions stopped quickly. At home and about to pass out for the night. It’s crazy to think that if this had been 5 days from now, they wouldn’t have given me the shot and I’d probably be in a lot more pain right about now!
