Alternative options for stuffing inserts?

Question

I’m due in January so I using this time to figure things out. I don’t have any experience, just trying to see what will work best for me. I really can’t see myself stuffing pockets all the time as a working mom so I’m looking into the following options but have a few questions:
1. Shells and prefolds: can I use inserts instead? Would the inserts move around? Or do I have to use a snappi to hold the prefold in place? 
2. All in twos: are these the same as the ones with pockets? Can I just place the inserts on top? Would it shift around?
I think my main concern is the inserts moving around because I don’t want to stuff them. Or are there special ways to fold a prefold to prevent it from shifting?

Yeah so I would suggest buys a few different kinds before buying a rage amount. Currently I have prefolds/covers and pockets. I use a skin friendly insert or prefolds and just set it in this way if it is just pee I can use the cover for another change. 
I stuff the pockets for our family when they watch her so it’s easier. But I like being able to wear the same cover longer so it can match outfits lol.

It takes me less than 10 minutes to stuff our 30ish diapers. I don’t they’re way easier and less time consuming than pergolas and covers, but that’s just my preference. I like that they’re all stuffed and ready to go.

We do Thirsties Duo wraps and dip hemp/cotton prefolds. We just trifold (pad fold) the prefold and place it inside the diaper cover. Super easy, super absorbent.

I mainly use flats and covers at the moment, but I've used a little bit of everything. If you want absolute speed and user friendliness in diaper changes then go for all-in-ones, but they will probably only last through one child unless you have a large stash. There's no stuffing and they go on like disposables.
For speed and longevity, prefolds or inserts and pockets. Prefolds or natural fiber inserts will be easiest to wash and dry and, unless your wash load is too large or has insufficient water, should agitate out without the need to unstuck them before washing. Pockets are also easiest to sprays poop off of because it's just one surface without any nooks, crannies or extra flaps to get poo stuck in, like in most larger all-in-ones, and all-in-twos.
All-in-twos are quick, and since you can remove the shells before drying they have good longevity, too, but with most brands you have to snap the inserts in which will take probably slightly less time than pockets, bit since you have to make sure the insert isn't rolled or bunched up when changing, they aren't quite as user friendly as pockets.
Covers and inserts/prefolds are probably the least user friendly and there's a learning curve to wrapping them around baby, which you'll want to do until baby's poop is less runny after starting solids otherwise you'll almost always get poop on the cover and have to change it, not to mention caregivers are more likely to just change the whole thing rather than just the insert anyway. You can use the pocket inserts in covers so long as no microfiber touches baby's skin. 
Whether or not inserts shift around or not will depend greatly on the diaper and child. When the child isn't mobile, even if the insert is a little narrow compared to the shell/cover, it's unlikely to shift, but once baby starts moving around more, the more snug the insert fits into the shell/cover, or if it is snapped down, the better to prevent shifting. At this point covers and prefolds also loses points because the exposed pul tends to be a bit slippery.
Overall, in my personal opinion, for user friendliness and longevity, I'd do a one-size stash of pockets with natual fiber inserts or various sized prefolds and a newborn stash of all-in-ones with snap-in inserts, so basically like all-in-twos, since they tend to run a bit bigger and last a little longer than the all sewn together types.
Maybe type getting a couple and test out your stuffing speed to see if it's actually as tedious and unfeasible as you're thinking. Best regards, and OMG if you actually read to the end of this novel...😙

I actually think that prefolds and covers can be tougher for people watching babies. I love prefolds and covers. I especially like them for naps and nighttime because there are no leaks. But they are a bit more difficult to master (the jelly roll with snappis), especially for people who are rookies to cloth. Pockets are just like real diapers with snaps so they are super user friendly. I don’t think stuffing them is a huge deal. My eight year old can even do it. We use prefolds that are trifolded in ours. That seems to hold the most urine. And the stuffing can be done at night in bed while you’re watching your favorite TV show. Seriously not a big deal. 
Depending on your child care choice- that’s how I would choose my typical daytime cloth diapers. Best wishes!❤️
