How much would you spend on a teens first car?

Assuming they did good in school and didn’t get in a lot of trouble 
I know people have different incomes but I just wanted to see the average

I split the cost of my $1800 1999 truck with my parents two years ago, I think my parents would have been willing to go up to maybe $1500 depending on the car.

I bought my first car myself for a little over 2000 but if a parent is buying their kid a car anything over 5000 is being a little too spoiled if you ask me

I think that if someone gets stuff handed to them they won’t learn any responsibility or be prepared for the real world

depending on where you live cars will be more expensive. My parents spent 7500 on mine and it’s still not that nice. If you live in a nicer area too people tend to resell their cars for ridiculous prices. Just watch the mileage on it and the price that goes along with it.
