When time out is over for sure cuz they could be sucking up to try and get out of time out

When I nanny my time out rules are:
No talking or the timer gets started over
Stop crying before the timer starts
No getting up
I am firm but kind, at the end of them telling me what they did to be put in time out I will offer a hug or a snuggle. I’ve always been like this because it works, the kids I’ve watched consistently rarely get in time outs or get in trouble

I give the hug and send them back with a 30 second penalty 😂

My daughter when she was that age would ask for hug after hug after hug once she got the first one. So all hugs and kisses waited till she was off her time out.
