Question for those who know what their doing when it comes to hair.

I got an ombré back in May,and it KILLED the ends of my hair. The lady who done it didn’t do it good at all. She tried fixing it with a hair treatment but it did nothing to it. I swear she left me under that dryer thing to long. Anyways, I tried keeping the blonde for a bit but it looked so horrible I had to put a darker color over it so it wasn’t noticeable. It looks better but whenever I shower the dead ends just come right off my hair. It’s depressing tbh. I know I can cut it but if I do,it’s going to be short hair and I hate short hair. And it’s just going to be a step back for it to grow long....is there anyway possible to fix it without cutting it? 😩
